Happy February! Not sure about you, but January f

Happy February!

Not sure about you, but January fleeeeeeeew. One moment I was celebrating another birthday, & then I blinked and it was the end of the month. It was a good month, though. I'm loving my new work schedule that has me taking back not just my weekend, but also my evenings.

The 6" of freak snow was something, and then the following week we had mid-70s temperatures. Crazy, crazy weather. Thanks to my furbabies who cuddled with me (& lots of tea—as well as a few hot toddies), we all stayed warm.

I'll be wrapping up DRAGON FORGED (DK #10 out this July) this coming week while I'm at a cabin with some author buddies. I'm living for this retreat, not just because I'm not cooking (I volunteered as a designated cleaner just so I'm *not* cooking 😁), but because I get some time with friends. There will be lots of shenanigans involved!

One of my goals this year was to actually get out of the house more. I have a wonderful space that I'm comfortable in, and sometimes I'm too comfortable. So, this Sunday, I'll be heading to the Big Thicket for a 2 hour guided tour to gaze at the stars & see the planetary alignment. What a way to start the month, right?

Sisko is happy that the frigid temps have receded since it means I get out of the house and take him for walks. The beans, Knox and Luna, are getting so big. They love their time inside, but they definitely like to be outside chasing birds and insects. Amos is doing really good lately, giving me hope that the vet got it wrong. True to his Siberian DNA, he's continuing to grow, and he was already a big cat. They grow until they're five, and he's only 3. 😳

I'm also in organize mode. I've been re-organizing spaces to better make use of the space, especially in the book room where I have all the copies for my store. There's lots of things coming this year, and I have to have room to accommodate it all. Stay tuned, because something *super* cool is about to be launched!

I'm going to have another cup of tea and enjoy my day read (& a little re-organizing). I hope everyone has a beautiful, easy going, loving February. 💓
