April 2017

The beginning of a month is in someways like starting a new day or new year for me. So many possibilities await. March was a super busy time (I say that every month, I know), but it was – with deadlines and travel. Yet my goal of finding balance between my writing/work and my downtime/family time/me time is evening out with every month this year. ::snoopy dancing::

In March, my 70th book released – FIRESTORM (DK #10). It was my first Dragon King book in nine months. The reaction for all you readers was amazing. Thank you for all the emails, messages, and reviews! And things are just getting started with the DKs, so look out!

I also attend Apollycon that was in Orlando this year. It was another amazing conference. I loved getting to see old friends (we authors tend to hole up in our offices and write all the time, so these events allow us to catch up), and meeting readers! It also ushered in my very first live video I did with Liliana Hart, Kristin Proby, Lexi Blake, and Lara Adrian. Then, I thought I’d give it a try myself during the signing. It was loads of fun and you got to see Liliana Hart and a few readers as well. More live videos are coming!

April will see me working on a project that my publisher asked me to do. It’s a spin off of the Sons of Texas called Heart of Texas, and the first book THE CHRISTMAS COWBOY HERO will be out October 31st of this year! And the cover reveal is happening *very* soon!

By agreeing to do this project (I’ve never really written a Christmas story, so I liked the challenge), we had to move some things in my schedule. That also made us sit down and look at each of my series and the release dates.

So I’ll be in the Christmas spirit during April, which also happens to be my daughter’s birthday. Gillian turns 18 this month. I can’t believe how fast the years have gone! But that’s a another post. lol.

Also during April the preorder for MOON STRUCK will go live, so be on the lookout for that. But more than anything, I’m super excited about the release of DARK ALPHA’S LOVER on April 18th. I feel like its been forever since we’ve had a Reaper story, and I thoroughly enjoyed writing Fintan and Cat’s book. I can’t wait to read what all of you think of it.

Here’s hoping for a lovely April!
